Title: masks
Fandom: Supernatural/Marvel movies
Warnings: pre-Avengers; anytime post season 5 Supernatural
Pairings: Natasha Romanova/Meg the demon
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 310
Point of view: third
Prompt: Supernatural / Avengers Movie, Meg /& Natasha, “See you soon, baby. Hell is waiting for you.”

Sometimes, Natasha will find a nightclub or a bar and settle in the corner to people watch. If anyone asks her to dance, she'll either agree or send them on their way, depending on how she feels. Sometimes she brings Clint or Maria; sometimes, they dance. Sometimes, after she escorts Clint or Maria back to their home, she'll stay the night. Again, depending on how she feels.

Tonight, a brunette saunters up to her, bright red lips grinning, and purrs, "Wanna dance?" She's about Natasha's age, dressed in skin-tight pants and a slinky top, in boots that Natasha might legitimately kill for.

"Of course," Natasha purrs in reply.

Her name is Megan, Natasha learns, and she's an understudy for an off-Broadway musical, and she loves cats but fears dogs. She's sweet and funny and attractive, and generally, too good to be true.

Natasha takes her to the public apartment, and peels off her clothes slowly, kissing everywhere that's revealed, and Megan laughs because it tickles.

Megan is more fun that Natasha's had with a one-night-stand in a long time, but there's something off about her. After round three, Megan kisses her and says, "Well, I should get home."

"Of course," Natasha says, watching her slip back into her truly wonderful pants.

Once Megan has pulled her boots back on, she pauses to smile at Natasha, and leans down to kiss her again. "I'll see you soon, baby," she murmurs, skimming her lips up from Natasha's lips to her temple. "Hell's waiting for you."

"What?" Natasha demands, pulling away but—

Megan disappears into thin air. Natasha breathes in and breathes out, listening carefully but it's completely silent. She waits another moment before climbing out of bed, going to the study, opening the safe room, and pulling up the footage of the past four hours.

Megan is on the tape. Sloppy of her.

Title: Little Red
Fandom: Little Red Ridinghood
Disclaimer: not my characters
Warnings: references to violence/death/sexual assault
Rating: PG13
Wordcount: 590
Point of view: third
Prompt: Little Red Riding Hood, Red, the Wolf - Red knows how to make it look like the Wolf is the Villain in the story. ; Little Red Riding Hood, little red, learn to bend learn to swerve// learn to bend learn to butcher

Later, they'll blame it on the trauma of being attacked by a wolf, of finding her grandmother's body. Later, they'll ask if maybe the ranger who saved her had perhaps hurt her, and it was hidden by the injuries left by the wolf.

Later, there will be excuses and explanations, stints in a locked ward, recriminations and accusations.

Later, there will be a crime spree everyone thinks begins with a teenager shoplifting for attention.

Later, there will be bodies and blood spread across fourteen states, and more still that no one will ever connect to her.

Later, it will all be traced back to that wolf attack, to her grandmother's corpse, and despite what everyone finally realizes –

Her first kill is never attributed to her.

She won’t talk about it, on the stand or to the lawyer her parents spend the last of their money on or to the psychologists she’s sent to or to the reporters who shout variations of the same questions. She won’t talk about it to her cellmate when she’s finally found guilty or her ward-mates before that or to her partner even before that, the darling man who truly loved her and bled himself dry to prove it.

She’ll talk about anything except what the world wants to hear from her.

She shoplifts when she’s twelve, two years after she finds her grandmother’s butchered corpse. She survives a wolf attack, is rescued by a kind passerby, spends months home from school trying to recover.

She talks about it until her throat runs dry, tells anyone who asks, catches and keeps the hearts of an entire nation. She is an adorable child.

She shoplifts at twelve. Breaks into neighborhood homes at fourteen. Carjacks at sixteen.

Kills a neighborhood boy at seventeen. He is the first anyone will find but his death is ruled an accident.

There really is no turning back after that.

She wears red, every time. Like the jacket she was wearing, that day in the woods. Red threads are left at most of the crime scenes, so word spreads of Little Red.

At first, of course, everyone is sure they’re hunting a man.

She makes sure to leave hints until everyone realizes their mistake.

She wears red at the trial. She charms the judge and the jury and the people who come to gawk.

They’ve found fifteen bodies, spread across fourteen states. She neither brags nor denies.

No matter what the expert witnesses say, she never did a single thing for the attention.

She killed acquaintances and strangers, men and women, young and old. Stabbing, mostly, with a hunting knife, like the kind that saved her life years ago. That’s the catalyst, doctors and lawyers argue. That’s where everything went wrong for a sweet little girl who grew into a beautiful but broken woman.

She doesn’t talk about it. No matter how the story is told, she doesn’t talk about it. No matter what the experts argue, what diagnoses are bandied about it, she lets them.

Her parents are vilified. The man who once saved her life. Even her late grandmother. Everyone is blamed but she is simply too charming to be given death; instead, she is locked away, the smiling Little Red who left a trail of blood nearly from one ocean to another.

Books are written, screenplays penned, movies planned. Two dueling documentaries are released within five years.

In hindsight, her parents realize that though a wolf nearly killed her, did actually kill her grandmother, she never once said a thing against wolves.

Title: unrequited
Fandom: NCIS
Disclaimer: not my characters (except for the boyfriend)
Warnings: takes place anytime after season 5
Pairings: Tony/OMC, references to Tony/women, unrequited Gibbs/Tony
Rating: PG
Wordcount: 310
Prompt: NCIS, Tony/any. Gibbs finds out Tony is dating a man and isn't sure how he feels about it. Bite sized bit of angst?

It's one thing, when Tony's flirting with women, taking women to dinner and movies, dancing at those clubs Jethro can't stand, anyway. Jethro knows he's got no chance, when Tony's eyes are caught by beautiful women, by young women, by bright and charming women.

He's known from the beginning that he was attracted to Tony. His eye's been caught by men before, every now and again. He's never once acted on it. Tony's his subordinate, anyway. Besides the rule against messing around with a team member, messing around with someone under his command is also forbidden.

So he's ignored the attraction, even though it grows over the years into something that might one day rival what he felt for Shannon. The day he realizes that is a bad one.

But it's okay while Tony is with women. Because clearly his infatuation can't possibly be requited.

"Oh, Gibbs," Tony says, eyes widening.

"Tony!" Maddie exclaims, darting in to hug him while Jethro steps up to Tony's table to examine his companion.

"Um, Manuel," Tony says, nerves hidden very well, "this is my boss Jethro Gibbs and his... niece, Maddie." He takes a breath and his voice is steadier as he says, "Gibbs, this is my boyfriend, Manuel Delgado."

"It's good to meet you," Delgado says, smiling at them. "Tony's told me some very interesting stories."

Dark hair, tanned skin, hazel eyes. Reasonably handsome. It's hard to tell how fit he is beneath his shirt, as it's a bit loose.

Tony hasn't talked about women in months.

"We'll let you get back to your date," Maddie says. "It was good to see you, Tony."

"Boss," Tony says with a nod.

"See you at the office, DiNozzo," Jethro says. He nods to the boyfriend and follows Maddie out of the restaurant.

It was different, when Tony was only interested in women.

Always, they meet somehow, memories intact or not. Whatever their gender, whatever their respective ages, somehow they meet. Always, they are important to each other.

Always, they die relatively soon.

But this time, the woman who was once Xena, so long ago it feels like a barely-recalled dream, looks at the woman who was once Gabrielle and asks, “Marry me?”

“Finally, of course, yes.”

Thank you for always reading and commenting. Sometimes, I really really need it.

About the NCIS drabble, when I posted it to A03, NO ONE got the intended meaning. It was so frustrating. You did, though! Oh, I'm so glad to see that.

It's pretty quickly shown that Gibbs did have an interest, even if you don't look at the pairing bit. But I liked that it wasn't *dramatically* pointed out *lol*

If I like something here and in other LJ fic places, I always comment. :) *hugs*

Love these! :D

(I don't have any fandom-appropriate icons, but please accept this tangential attempt, the closest I can come to a Kings icon)
